LIBRARY CARDS:

If you are a Dumont resident, or own real estate in Dumont, we welcome you as a member of the Library at no charge. Free library cards are issued upon presentation of proper identification. Library cards may be used at other Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS) libraries. For a child under the age of 18 to register for a card, a parent or guardian must be present and willing to sign the card acknowledging responsibility.

RESERVES:

Requests can be initiated online or by visiting the library and speaking to a staff member at the Circulation or Reference desk. To expedite loans, please include your phone number and e-mail address. Please limit requests to seven (7) per day.

RENEWALS:

Materials may be renewed providing no one else is waiting. Internet (you must have a pin number) or telephone renewals are accepted. Your library card bar-code and pin number are required for renewals. Click here to view your Library Card.

FINES POLICY :

Please return materials on time so others may borrow them. A book-drop is available for use when the library is closed. Fines are assessed as followed.

Overdue High Demand Dvd's /Videos	$1.00 per day
Other overdue materials	$.10 per day
Videos not re-winded	$1.00 per video
Replacement parts (cases, inserts, Etc.)	library discretion
Replace lost borrower's card	$3.00

PIN (Personal Identification Number):
If you do not yet have a PIN, please ask for one the next time you visit the Circulation Desk. A PIN enables you to view your library card account and see items you have checked out or have on reserve, renew items before they become overdue, cancel requests and view a list of outstanding fines.
