Adult Book Clubs

LIBRARY CARD REQUIRED FOR BOOK CHECK OUT
Description:
Each month, adult book club members check out that month’s selected book from the front desk, and they read as much as they can of the book before the meeting. During the meeting we talk over the major points of the book, and everyone shares their thoughts about the book. Both clubs are variety book clubs. That is, each month is a different genre or topic based around club member interests.
Meeting Time:
Evening Book Club - 1st Monday of each month at 7:00pm
Afternoon Book Club - 2nd Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm
Swoon & Sweets- 4th Monday of each month at 7:00pm

Color Me Calm
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Description:
A variety of coloring materials are provided each week at this relaxing event. Adults can socialize and color to relax.
Meeting Time:
Join us on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm

Cook Book Club
REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Description:
Adults check out a copy of the month’s selection from the front desk, and they cook an item from the selected cook book, and they bring the item with them to the meeting. During the meeting, everyone eats the items brought by members and discusses the selection.

Fourth Tuesday at 6:30 pm
Afternoon Movies
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Description:
Patrons have an opportunity to socialize over coffee and enjoy a recently released movie together at this event. Whenever possible, closed captions are turned on for the film. Sometimes the films can be crowded, so it is best to arrive a few minutes before the film start time of 1:30. Extra parking is available in the municipal lot across the street from the Library (behind Frech-McKnight Funeral Home).
Meeting Time:
2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Refreshments at 1:00 pm and the movie begins at 1:30 pm
Resume Workshops
REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Description:
Adults have the opportunity to review the proper form for resumes and cover letters during this program. Attendees develop a first resume or updating an existing one. Techniques for successful interviews are introduced in this sessions as well.

Needlepoint

Description:
This stitching circle is a chance to work on your projects while socializing with others who enjoy needlecraft projects. Attendees bring their own supplies for this club.
